Assess proportionality, legal risk, cost, and defensibility when selecting preservation, collection, review, and production approaches. Support case management teams by reviewing and drafting legal documents, including summaries and analyses of complaints, answers, discovery requests and responses, motions, and documents collected in discovery. Work with outside counsel and vendors to efficiently satisfy discovery obligations, applying consistent, risk-based methodologies across matters supported in-house, through hybrid teams, or by outside counsel. Collaborate with internal legal subject matter experts and other Company resources; advise case management teams on discovery positions, proposed protocols, negotiations, and issues requiring escalation; and direct paralegals, review teams, and other support staff.
