GRADE ASTD9 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Wicomico County Health Department 108 E. Main Street Salisbury, MD 21801 Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide guidance and direction to the clerical support staff of the Wicomico Behavioral Health Program in order to make determinations and to resolve issues. This position ensures accurate billing and authorization entries into the electronic health record. This position is designated as emergency essential. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: Two years of experience performing clerical duties. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administrative classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with BH processes. Experience with running reports.
