HEALTHCARE SOUS CHEF

Job Summary As a Sous Chef, you will manage the daily operations of the Culinary Department in an acute care setting, assisting the Executive Chef with menu development, cost control, and staff supervision. You will prepare and cook diverse menu items, oversee catering events, and collaborate with the Executive Chef to introduce new culinary programs. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account. Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus. Produce and execute catering events. Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team. Preferred Qualifications A.S. degree or equivalent culinary experience. Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience. Experience in catering; high‑volume, complex food‑service operations is highly desirable. Experience with institutional and batch cooking. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food‑cost controls, and presentation. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the internet. Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities. ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
