Position Security Officer – Patrol Operations in Greensboro, NC Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $12.74 per hour Job Schedule Wednesday 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM Thursday 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM Friday 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and/or public responders when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe campus activity to deter unauthorized entry, assist with directions and information, and report maintenance and security‑related concerns. Support campus events and daily operations by following post orders, submitting incident reports, and providing a professional presence throughout the location. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
