Donor Center Phlebotomist

Job Overview When you join our team you will utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process at fixed site locations. You will collaborate with your team to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors, and follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals. To learn more about the role, watch this short video: rdcrss.org/lifesavingrole Key Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand the impact of their donation. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so donors feel comfortable returning. Be detail oriented throughout the shift, ensuring collected blood meets regulatory requirements and is safe for transfusion. Schedule Variable hours; 4 x 10 hour shifts. Staff schedule is provided 2–3 weeks in advance and may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay Starting rate $21.85 per hour. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience. Minimum one year of customer service experience in a public setting. Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, work on ramps and stairs, and maintain manual dexterity. Ability to sit or stand for long periods and adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.). Prior leadership experience. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.
