About The Role Goshen Engineering is seeking a Quality Technician to perform inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process work, assemblies, and completed products to verify conformance with drawings, specifications, and Goshen quality requirements. The role documents inspection and test results, identifies and communicates quality issues, supports corrective actions, and assists with quality processes and procedures. What You'll Do Perform daily inspections of incoming materials, in-process equipment, assemblies, parts, and completed work for defects or deviations from drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. Perform electrical testing on integrated electrical systems and other assigned testing activities using approved procedures and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, inspection requirements, and other technical documentation to determine applicable quality requirements. Use appropriate measuring and inspection tools and equipment to evaluate dimensions, workmanship, assembly, and other product characteristics. Document inspection and test results accurately and maintain required quality records, forms, logs, and related documentation. Identify, document, communicate, and help contain nonconforming materials, assemblies, and products; elevate significant or recurring issues to the Quality Manager and appropriate functions. Work with production, engineering, materials, vendors, customers, and other team members to investigate defects and establish or support corrective action plans. Verify completed corrective actions or rework as assigned and communicate unresolved issues or repeat conditions promptly. Support the Quality Manager in maintaining quality procedures, inspection methods, checklists, records, and other elements of Goshen’s quality processes and quality management system. Participate in quality meetings, audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement activities as assigned. Use computers and applicable business or quality systems to enter, retrieve, and maintain inspection, test, and quality information. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment and follow Goshen safety, quality, documentation, and operating procedures. What You'll Bring Required High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and related technical documentation. Ability to use basic quality measuring tools and inspection equipment accurately. Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy, documentation, and follow-through. Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate quality issues clearly and professionally. Ability to work independently, remain proactive and resourceful, and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, materials, vendors, customers, and other internal personnel. Level I performs routine incoming, in-process, and assigned final inspections with regular guidance, uses standard measuring/testing tools, documents results, and escalates clear deviations. Level II independently performs a broader and more complex range of inspections and electrical testing, interprets more detailed drawings/specifications, investigates nonconformances, supports corrective actions and verification, maintains complete quality records, and may provide technical assistance to less-experienced quality personnel. Regular on-site physical presence is required; ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, bend/reach/stoop/kneel/push/pull/grasp, lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and safely use computers, office equipment, tools, machinery, testing equipment, and measuring devices required for assigned duties. Ability to work in manufacturing, shop, warehouse, production, and customer-site environments as required and follow applicable safety and PPE requirements; additional hours or weekend work may be required based on business needs. Preferred Prior experience in manufacturing; prior experience in a manufacturing quality role, inspection, or electrical testing.
