Per Diem Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Day Kimball Hospital in Northeast Connecticut nestled on the banks of the Quinebaug River is seeking a per diem anesthesiologist. Day Kimball Healthcare is a nonprofit provider of integrated healthcare services in Northeast Connecticut and nearby Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The comprehensive network includes Day Kimball Hospital; Day Kimball Medical Group; four healthcare centers in Danielson, Dayville, Plainfield, and Putnam; Day Kimball HomeMakers; Day Kimball HomeCare; and Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Connecticut.

Case assignments include orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, podiatry, spine fusions, cataracts, endoscopy, colonoscopy, TEE, cardioversions, pacemakers, and general surgery. Pediatric cases are ENT cases for M&T, adenoidectomies, and tonsillectomies.

Team leadership includes Brad Gillon, Chief Anesthesiologist. The role involves directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients during surgery, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed.

Requirements include an M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX completion, residency in anesthesia, and current physician licensure.
