The Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of the machine shop and develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, machining processes, tooling, and machine capabilities. This position is responsible for coordinating production times and staffing requirements to ensure on-time delivery for shop operations. The Supervisor will mentor, coach and train team members on best practices, machine operations, and overall operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise machine shop team to work efficiently, utilize best practices and machine operations to meet production deadlines.
• Oversee team production quality and shift production output.
• Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines.
• Work with 1st Shift on production priorities.
• Enforce and follow workplace safety standards.
• Assist team members in other areas if needed to meet daily production goals.
• Assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement in the machine shop.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in CNC Machining. Minimum of 4 years of setting up both CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. With a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Technical Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience with CNC Programming or editing is preferred. Experience with Fanuc CNC controls. Proficiency in reading and understanding complex mechanical blueprints. Strong attention to details is required.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical: High energy level required; able to stand for long periods of time and safely lift to 50 pounds at varying frequencies. Ability to work overtime required.
• Education: High School diploma or GED. Associates degree in CNC machining preferred.
