Summary

Hussey Copper is seeking an Entry-Level Buyer to join our Purchasing team in Leetsdale, PA. This role is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

The Buyer will support day-to-day purchasing activities including converting approved requisitions into purchase orders, tracking spend and inventory data, supporting invoice resolution, following up with suppliers, and helping ensure materials and services arrive on time.

This position is fully onsite in Leetsdale, PA. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Convert approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data
• Track spend, cost history, and inventory levels
• Monitor open purchase orders and delivery dates
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials and services arrive on time
• Assist with invoice and receiving discrepancies
• Communicate with internal departments regarding purchasing requests and order status
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation
• Support spends tracking and reporting
• Assist with process improvements and administrative purchasing needs
• Crosstrain on additional purchasing responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Internship or entry-level experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus
• Moderate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ross ERP or similar ERP experience is a plus
• Familiarity with purchase orders, invoicing, receiving, and data entry is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within the purchasing function
• Must be able to work onsite in Leetsdale, PA five days per week
• No relocation assistance
