Allegiance Staffing is currently seeking:

Position: Facilities Specialist

Shift: M-F 7am-3/4pm

Pay: $17-21

Location: Goldsboro, NC

Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive work on campus facilities and systems. This role requires knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other building maintenance trades. The technician will work independently and collaboratively, ensuring campus facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive service on campus facilities using a computer-based work order system.
2. Conduct repairs, replacements, and installations for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
3. Perform minor carpentry work and install communication network cables and terminations.
4. Acquire parts and supplies using institutional requisition procedures.
5. Operate hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment safely and effectively.
6. Participate in the College’s emergency response team and assist during emergencies.
7. Conduct physically strenuous work, including bending, climbing, and lifting, as required.
8. Communicate effectively with staff, students, and the public regarding maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of two years of experience in building maintenance trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
3. Familiarity with state and federal EPA, OSHA, NEC, and NFPA safety compliance requirements.
4. Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently and as part of a team.
5. Working knowledge of computers and basic software applications.
6. Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record.
