MEC Motors is seeking a full time Truck, Trailer & Lease Rental Sales to support our Gaston, South Carolina location.

What you’ll do:

• Sell and promote the dealership’s full line of new and used trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

• Promote and sell lease and rental solutions based on each customer’s operational and equipment needs.

• Build a strong customer base through daily cold calling, outside prospecting, networking, referrals, and in-person customer visits.

• Develop new customer relationships and maintain and grow existing accounts through consistent follow-up and responsive service.

• Identify customer requirements, recommend appropriate equipment or rental solutions, prepare quotes, and guide customers through the sales or lease-rental process.

• Follow up on open quotes, sales opportunities, expiring rental agreements, and potential equipment replacement needs.

• Stay current on industry trends, equipment features, competitive offerings, market conditions, and local business activity to maintain a competitive edge.

• Participate in sales meetings, training, industry events, trade shows, and other business development activities as assigned.

• Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in sales, business, transportation, or a related field is preferred.

• Previous outside sales, commercial vehicle, heavy equipment, trailer, transportation, leasing, or rental experience is preferred.

• Strong customer service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers, quotes, agreements, schedules, and follow-up activities.

• Comfort using email, Microsoft Office applications, customer relationship management systems, and other business software.

• Basic understanding of pricing, margins, gross profit, and sales performance goals.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
