CNC Lathe Machinist (2nd Shift)

CNC Lathe Machinist Position

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a CNC lathe machinist position on the second shift at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position. The hours are 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$30 an hour, based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Setup, maintenance and operation of Haas CNC turning centers
Work with engineering to install and optimize new production programs and setups
Maintain quality of all parts produced by continued machine side inspection during runs
Deliver production jobs on time and within budget
Review instructions to understand specifications of output
Monitor machine while working to make necessary adjustments and identify issues
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC turning centers, primarily Haas, in a fast-paced production environment
Assist less skilled operators to maintain production and quality standards
Possess a good understanding of QA and/or manufacturing processes
Proficient with measuring instruments and reading blueprints
ISO/AS9100 experience a plus
Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and heavy lifting
Able to work overtime when needed
Able to pass pre-employment screenings
