Part-Time Trainer Job Description

Role Overview

The Trainer position is responsible for delivering effective, energizing, and creative classes in line with the PVOLVE Method. This position requires teaching experience, a team-player attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding class experiences after completing the PVOLVE certification program.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 2–5 classes weekly.
• Successfully complete the 100-hour immersive training program.
• Greet clients before class, assess participant needs, and personalize the class experience.
• Provide modifications and challenges to create an all-level class experience.
• Act as point of contact post-class, advising clients on frequency, class packages, and program offerings.
• Build PVOLVE attendance and hit retention and utilization goals.
• Ensure safety and proper movement execution.
• Attend trainer meetings as part of ongoing development.
• Grow brand awareness through events, social media, and other marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Dynamic, high-energy personality with a love for fitness, health, and wellness
• 2+ years group fitness experience (preferably Pilates, Barre, Dance, or mind-body formats)
• Deep understanding of anatomy and proper movement execution
• Comfortable on a mic leading a fast-paced class with loud music and high energy
• High-energy, charismatic teaching style with ability to coach various fitness levels
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
• Growth mindset with ability to both receive and give feedback
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized
• Positive demeanor and team-player attitude
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Current trainer certification from an accredited body (NASM, ACE, or AFAA preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related field is a plus
