Position Summary The Foreman - Plumbing - Construction - IN Region is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising plumbing construction activities for commercial and industrial new construction, tenant improvement, and renovation projects throughout Indiana. This role provides direct field leadership to plumbing crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and GEMCO quality standards. The Plumbing Foreman serves as the primary field contact for assigned projects, working closely with project managers, superintendents, other trades, and customers to drive successful project execution. This position also plays a critical role in workforce development through the training, mentorship, and leadership of apprentices and journeymen. Primary Responsibilities and Duties Lead, organize, and supervise plumbing crews on commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Indiana region. Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet project schedules, milestones, and productivity goals. Assign tasks based on employee skill level, project requirements, and workforce availability. Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and other project documentation to ensure accurate installation. Coordinate plumbing activities with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain workflow and avoid conflicts. Monitor project progress and workforce productivity, taking corrective action when necessary to maintain schedules and budgets. Ensure all plumbing installations meet project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable local, state, and national codes. Perform and document quality inspections to verify workmanship and compliance standards. Promote and enforce GEMCO's safety culture, ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations, company policies, and jobsite safety procedures. Conduct toolbox talks, pre-task planning meetings, and daily safety discussions with field personnel. Track and manage material usage, equipment, and tool inventories to support efficient project execution. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve field-related technical, logistical, and personnel issues. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to apprentices and journeymen to support employee development and career growth. Attend project meetings and communicate project status, challenges, and resource needs to leadership. Assist with project commissioning, punch list completion, and closeout activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Traits and Competencies Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing systems, installation practices, and construction methods. Thorough understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
