Role Overview This is a high-impact role that sits at the center of Pearson’s next chapter of innovation. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping our go-to-market approach for our top product portfolio. You will lead the plan for several key initiatives from strategy through execution while working closely with internal and external creative teams. Initial Areas of Focus Build and scale a net-new growth program targeting emerging audiences and market opportunities, creating the audience strategy, go-to-market approach, messaging, content ecosystem, and activation framework needed to drive adoption and revenue. Build and lead a comprehensive competitive marketing program that strengthens Pearson's market position through competitive intelligence, SEO strategy, analyst and influencer engagement, and a robust comparison content strategy. Develop high-impact buyer guides, competitive comparisons, thought leadership, and response frameworks that counter misleading competitive narratives, address market misinformation, and help Pearson win high-intent buying conversations while reinforcing our unique value and differentiation. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic product marketing partner for assigned projects, quickly building subject matter expertise and translating complex offerings into clear, compelling market narratives. Develop and execute go-to-market plans, with clear objectives, audiences, deliverables, owners, milestones, and measures of success. Conduct competitive and market analysis using buyer research, search behaviour, review sites, competitor content, and other relevant data sources. Create differentiated positioning, messaging, comparison content, buyer guides, sales enablement, case studies, pitch materials, and product marketing assets. Partner with Digital teams on SEO, paid and organic activation, audience journeys, and campaign execution. Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities with strong judgment, transparency, and follow-through. Who You Are Essential Qualifications and Experience 8+ years of product marketing experience within a global organization, ideally supporting B2B, enterprise, SaaS, technology, learning, HR, or workforce solutions. Demonstrated experience in competitive marketing, including competitive intelligence, differentiated positioning, comparison content, sales enablement, competitive SEO, or reputation defense. Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market plans from strategy through activation and measurement. Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to enter a new area quickly, create structure, drive cross-functional alignment, and deliver high-quality work on time. Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and create persuasive content for buyers, sellers, partners, and senior stakeholders. Analytical mindset with experience measuring performance, tracking ROI, and applying insight to optimize outcomes. Ability to operate effectively in a flexible, project-based role where assignments and priorities may evolve. Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: The minimum full-time salary range is between $70-120k.
