Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting, delivering high-acuity nursing services in accordance with facility standards and protocols
• Float to like units or lower-acuity units across up to 5 hospital campuses as needed (excluding the ED)
• Complete a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the associated holiday weekend
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system throughout all aspects of patient care and documentation
• Complete assigned non-billable online modules by the required deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA) required at time of submission
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• NIHSS required (may be obtained or renewed during onboarding if needed)
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent ICU experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); no new RTO requests after submission
• 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
• Valid copies of all required certifications and Nursys verification must be submitted with application
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple hospital campuses or health system environments
• Familiarity with SDU and Telemetry care settings in addition to ICU
• Combined EPIC and Cerner EHR proficiency
