Carpenter / InstallerAmerican Cedar & Millwork is looking for an experienced Carpenter / Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in both new construction and remodeling environments. Responsibilities include:Installing kitchen cabinets and related millworkAssisting with window and door installation and serviceWorking with Andersen, Marvin, and other window and door productsPerforming work in new home construction and remodeling settingsUsing hand tools and power tools safely and effectivelyReading and following oral and written instructionsMaintaining an organized and safe work areaWorking efficiently while maintaining high attention to detailSupporting the lead carpenter or service technician as neededMaintaining personal hand tools and work beltPerforming other related duties as assignedQualificationsQualified candidates should have:Five or more years of cabinet installation or related carpentry experienceGeneral carpentry skills and knowledge of woodworking toolsFamiliarity with window and door products and service workExperience with Andersen and Marvin windows preferredAbility to lift 50 to 100 pounds without assistanceAbility to climb stairs and ladders while carrying materialsWillingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditionsUnderstanding of safety practices and proceduresAbility to perform basic mathStrong communication skillsProfessional appearance and work ethicReliable attendance and consistent work habitsAbility to work independently while representing the company with integrityPleasant and respectful demeanor with customers, vendors, and coworkersStrong attention to detail and ability to meet time expectationsAbout YouYou take pride in doing quality work.
