Transportation Reporting Analyst

About Your Role:

As a Transportation Reporting Analyst at Dollar Tree, you'll provide operational, analytical, and information systems support across the Inbound Transportation team. You'll develop and maintain reporting and analytical tools, support critical transportation systems, and partner with transportation teams, Supply Chain leadership, vendors, merchants, and other business partners to improve service levels, strengthen operational performance, and reduce transportation costs.

Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Transportation Operations & Systems Support

• Support the daily routing process to achieve the highest transportation service level at the lowest possible cost through effective modal and carrier selection.
• Maintain and troubleshoot efficient, continuous data flow between upstream and downstream systems, both internally and externally.
• Perform system administration functions and provide ongoing support for inbound transportation systems and processes.
• Execute system testing to ensure transportation systems, enhancements, and solutions meet established requirements.
• Participate in the development and deployment of new technology solutions, existing system upgrades, and process enhancements for Inbound Transportation.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical tools and reports that measure operational performance, define financial costs, monitor SLA compliance, and support budget execution.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve cost and service.
• Complete recurring and ad hoc reporting, analysis, projects, and other analytical assignments for Transportation leadership.
• Support data governance and data management activities to help maintain accurate and reliable transportation information.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Facilitate effective communication between vendors, merchants, Transportation, and other business partners regarding logistics costs, service standards, and transportation plans throughout the supply chain.
• Partner with functional transportation teams, Supply Chain leadership, and other departments to understand and fulfill systems, reporting, and analytics requirements.
• Maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality and professionalism when working with internal teams, vendors, and carriers.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve transportation reporting, analytical tools, systems, and operational processes.
• Support complex projects independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
• Adapt to changing business priorities and evolving transportation needs while effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Complete additional projects and assignments as required.

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent data analysis work experience.
• Minimum of three years of data analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, macros, VLOOKUP, and Power Pivot.
• Experience with data governance or data management.
• Experience working independently and as part of a team to successfully deploy complex projects.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a dynamic and agile work style.
• Ability to successfully navigate a changing environment and ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional and collaborative approach with a desire to support the needs of internal and external business partners.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Practical working knowledge of large-scale Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to interpret and understand Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions.
• Experience or education in statistics and/or financial reporting.
• Ability to write and understand SQL.

Start Rate = $66,000 - $72,500 based on experience plus 5% bonus.
