Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients using the nursing process
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, manage IV therapies, and respond to changes in patient status
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans; collaborate with the health care team to achieve patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record; maintain accurate patient records
- Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate and supervise duties of licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate to patient needs

Requirements
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice (California)
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in Med Surg or acute care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required
- ACLS certification required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- BSN: preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting and comply with the assigned shift schedule
- Must have current nursing license and meet state requirements for practice
