Position Summary

Anchor Bay Powder Coat is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and business performance initiatives across the organization. This position plays a key role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability.

This position is based on-site in Chesterfield/New Baltimore, Michigan, and works closely with operations, production, and leadership teams to support financial and business objectives in a manufacturing environment.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• -Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages.
• -Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• -Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
• -Monitor and analyze profitability, margins, labor, overhead, and operational costs.
• -Support pricing analysis and customer profitability initiatives.
• -Assist in monitoring cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics.
• -Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial processes as needed.
• -Partner directly with operations leaders and manufacturing personnel to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and profitability enhancement.
• -Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• -Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• -Utilize ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and emerging technologies to improve reporting and decision-making.
• -Prepare presentations and communicate financial results and recommendations to leadership.
• -Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Required

• -Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• -5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or operational finance.
• -Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• -Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• -Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Preferred

• -Manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or operational finance experience strongly preferred.
• -Experience supporting plant operations, production environments, or cost accounting functions.
• -Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting.
• -Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, and working capital analysis.
• -Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, SQL, QuickBooks Online, or similar financial systems.
• -Familiarity with AI tools and automation technologies to improve reporting and efficiency.

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• -Ability to work on-site at our New Baltimore, Michigan facilities.
• -Ability to regularly interact with operations, production, and leadership teams throughout the facility.
• -Occasional travel between company locations may be required.
