The facility operates a robust outpatient clinic model supported by Nurse Practitioners and an on-call provider system, ensuring continuity of care and a collaborative clinical environment.

Opportunity:
Physician – Internal Medicine – Oncology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity covering scheduled shifts from November through June – must be able to cover at least 90% of shifts to be considered
• Outpatient clinic schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (9-hour shifts, with overtime after 9 hours)
• 36 hours of patient care and ambulatory clinic coverage per week, including 30-minute admin time and 1-hour lunch
• Hospital call coverage on a rotating basis every 4th or 5th week, one full week at a time
• Weekday hospital visits for new consults, with Saturday and/or Sunday rounding and emergent consults during call weeks
• Patient mix: 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology, primarily benign hematology cases
• 15-18 patient encounters per shift
• On-call provider handles new consults at the hospital; Nurse Practitioners round on existing patients
• New consults are assigned to the on-call provider once evaluated
• Board certification required; BLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
• Preference given to physicians already licensed in Indiana with an active DEA
• 60-day notification required for agreement cancellation; 45-day advanced notice required for PTO
• Nearest airports: Indianapolis International (IND) and Purdue University Airport (LAF)
• Lodging options available including Home2 Suites, Hampton Inn, and Residence Inn
