Overview General Manager - McDonald’s® company-owned and independent Owner-Operator restaurants are staffed by great people. The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with leadership to set restaurant goals and create a plan to achieve them. To meet goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, supports their goal setting, follows up on progress, and provides coaching to improve departments. By improving the Departments, the restaurant improves overall performance. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team for future leadership.
