Patients are transportedimmediately after surgery to PACU to be monitored on a 1 nurse to 1 patient ratio.PACU staff manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and all other post surgical needs before transporting the patient back to ASU for continued observation. PACU is part of the Surgical Services, is a team-based entity with emphasis on delivering patient satisfaction and patient safety. All of our areas work together toensure patients have a positive experience during their stay at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
