Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; On-call weekday evenings and weekends

Licenses/Certifications: Required Virginia medical license or privileges

Experience: Prior interventional cardiology experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide interventional cardiology services including balloon angioplasties, coronary angiograms, and PCI procedures
• Perform heart catheterizations and manage vascular diseases
• Respond to emergency STEMI calls and contribute to patient stabilization
• Collaborate with a team of 18 interventional cardiologists to deliver optimal patient care
• Document procedures accurately in EPIC EMR system
• Participate in call rotation, with an average of fewer emergent callbacks

What You Need

Required:

• Active medical license or privileges to practice in Virginia
• Previous experience performing coronary interventions, catheterizations, and stent placements
• Certifications in cardiology-related procedures

Preferred:

• Experience working in hospital inpatient settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

About the Assignment This assignment is at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, a leading hospital facility in Mechanicsville, VA, with 250 beds and a dedicated ICU. The practice setting includes inpatient care with potential rounding responsibilities. The hospital uses EPIC EMR for documentation, and providers will be part of a busy cardiology group providing advanced vascular procedures. The position offers emergency/temporary privileges and reimbursement for travel expenses.
