Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Nights (3x12s) | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Floating: Yes – across ~5 PCU/Med-Surg/Stepdown units (including metro campuses)
• Scheduling: Facility-based (no block scheduling)
• First-Time Travelers Welcome ✅

Facility & Unit Highlights

• High-acuity PCU/Stepdown environment with diverse patient population
• Interdisciplinary support including IV team, rapid response, pharmacy, radiology & more
• Utilize advanced equipment: 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Omnicell, Voalte, Virtual Nursing
• Exposure to a wide range of conditions: Stroke, Sepsis, AFib, Renal Failure, GI Bleeds, COVID, ETOH, SI

What You’ll Do

• Provide care for cardiac, neuro, and med-surg stepdown patients
• Perform telemetry monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Assist with pre/post cardiac cath care
• Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
• Float across units to support patient care needs

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
• Active RN License (MO or Compact)
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
• ACLS (Preferred)

⭐ Preferred Skills

• Cardiac telemetry & dysrhythmia management
• Central line care, blood administration, port access
• Feeding tube management
• Sheath removal (cardiac)

Scheduling & Expectations

• Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6 weeks (F/S/S rotation)
• Floating Required (this is a float pool role)
• No On-Call
• RTO: Max 7 days
• Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts/week

Local / Radius Rule

• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• No local travelers allowed
