Senior Firewall Engineer

18-24 months contract (possibility of conversion- no visa candidate)

Locations: Las Colinas, Charlotte (Boulevard only), Chandler.

Primary tech stack: Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet (great to have), some Cisco routing/switching

Work expectations: Flex hours, some nights/weekends, on-call rotation.

Key responsibilities: Firewall management, policy changes, troubleshooting, remote access support, packet captures, Splunk log analysis, and some automation work.

Candidate requirements:

• 4+ years InfoSec engineering
• 2+ years network security engineering
• 2+ years firewall configuration/troubleshooting
• 2+ years security policy design
• Panorama experience

The team also clarified that visa candidates should not be submitted because conversion may be possible, and sponsorship is not supported.

• 2+ years firewall configuration/troubleshooting
• 2+ years security policy design
• Panorama experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls
• Support Global Protect for 240,000 users
• Perform packet captures, log analysis, incident management
• Handle policy changes and routing adjustments
• Participate in migrations (Palo Alto → Fortinet)
• Check logs, do some packet captures
• There will be some firewall migrations from Palo Alto to Fortinet.

Work Hours & Flexibility

The role requires after-hours and weekend work with flex time, not overtime.
