Director Of Housekeeping And LaundryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced director of housekeeping and laundry to join our team at Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. As a key member of our care team, the director will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facility, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents and staff.This position also oversees the housekeeping/laundry department of Lanessa Extended Care, our sister facility next door. Weekly pay! Salaried role up to $27 an hour, depending on experience.Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, including staffing, budgets, and moreMeet the laundry and housekeeping needs of the facility, managing the department within labor and supply budget guidelinesEnsure the completion of the laundry process and the delivery of adequate levels of linenMaintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and equipmentSupervise and train housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure high-quality work and excellent customer serviceDevelop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure a clean and safe environmentMonitor and maintain the condition of facility equipment and machinery, reporting any issues or concerns to managementCoordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective operationsMaintain confidential records and reports as requiredRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in related field preferredMinimum one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacityTraining in the operation of laundry equipment, practices, and procedures is preferredKnowledgeable in building cleaning and floor maintenance techniquesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAbility to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general publicKnowledge of housekeeping and laundry practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing housekeeping functions in long-term care facilitiesBenefits:Weekly PayHoliday PayCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount Program401(k) with Employer MatchEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
