Junior Software Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our development team.

• Work closely with a cross-functional SCRUM team to develop our software with an emphasis on Tax and Compliance.
• Work in tandem with other Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Owner to develop new code (primarily in C++).
• Present your work on daily team stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and other meetings, as needed.

Qualifications

• A Computer Science degree, OR relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with the following technologies: C++, VBScript (preferred).
• Experience developing applications.
• Understanding of relational databases (MS, SQL Server Experience).
• Experience with source control tools (GIT).
• Experience in defect tracking systems (JIRA).
• Commitment to teamwork.
• Superior organizational and prioritization skills while working on tight deadlines.
• Desire to learn and share with others - including excellent documentation skills.
