- Provide all standard respiratory care modalities: oxygen, therapeutic aerosols, bronchodilators, mucolytic, nasal tracheal suctioning, chest physio-therapy, incentive spirometry and breathing exercises, as well as ventilator management according to department procedures and standard respiratory therapy practices
- Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation attempts and intubation in accordance with standard protocols
- Obtain accurate samples for blood gas analysis
- Respond to Code Blue and Code Blue-pediatric events within the hospital and assist in airway management, ABG's, EKG's and/or assist in cardiac chest compression
- Schedules daily in-patients and out-patients for ABG's, EKG's, Stress Tests, HHN's, MDI's and CPT's
- Assist the in-patient or out-patient to better understand their condition, presentation and supportive ways to maintain through patient education
- Maintain all appropriate equipment and machinery within the Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Department, reporting any abnormalities to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services
- Graduate of American Medical Association approved School of Respiratory Therapy and successful completion of the Registry Examination
- New grads eligible
- Respiratory Therapy Licensure
- Maintain BLS
- New Hampshire State Board of Registration and Medicine
- Computer literacy, detail-oriented; works well under pressure
- 1-3 years of respiratory therapy clinical experience
- ACLS Certification
