Python Developer

Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Mississauga, ON

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Build REST APIs and integrate applications with internal systems and external services.
• Develop data processing pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Write and optimize database queries for large financial datasets.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit logging.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write automated unit and integration tests using Pytest or unittest.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Follow enterprise security, change management, and software development standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, and data structures.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and application integration.
• Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience writing automated tests and debugging distributed applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
