Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant

Midwest Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking a traveling periodontal dental assistant to support our specialty provider across multiple locations. This is a unique opportunity for a flexible, team-oriented assistant who enjoys variety and working alongside a periodontal specialist.

Travel to all listed locations is required.

Schedule & Locations

This position follows a set weekly travel schedule:

• Mondays: Wauwatosa
• Tuesdays: Sheboygan
• Wednesdays: Oshkosh
• Thursdays & Fridays: Green Bay

Currently, the provider works 10 days per month, with plans to increase to approximately 15 days per month starting in June. There is also an opportunity to pick up additional hours as a general dental assistant at supported offices during non-perio days.

Schedule (days/hours): Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities

• Assist the periodontist chairside during surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Prepare and break down operatories for perio treatments
• Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols
• Take dental radiographs as needed
• Support patient education and post-operative instructions
• Travel between assigned offices and adapt to different team environments

Qualifications

• Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care

Compensation

$25-$30/hr
