Job Description Job Description Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of CNC machines, machine shop equipment, and facility systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to ensure optimal production performance. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair CNC machines and numerical control systems Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on lathes, mills, grinders, presses, and related equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Remove, repair, align, and reinstall machine components with precision Install, maintain, and overhaul production equipment, fixtures, and test stands Perform welding (arc and acetylene) for fabrication and repair work Fabricate and repair hydraulic and pneumatic tubing, hoses, and fittings Conduct calibration and operational testing of equipment post-installation or repair Use precision measuring tools to ensure equipment meets specifications Support facility maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, etc.) Utilize maintenance software for diagnostics, reporting, and scheduling Manage hazardous materials including inventory, compliance, and disposal Assist with safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance Collaborate with team members and support additional maintenance needs as required Required Qualifications Experience & Skills: Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment Strong experience with CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, presses) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders, piping) Experience with tube bending and fabrication for fluid systems preferred Familiarity with chemicals and hazardous materials handling Basic computer skills for reporting, diagnostics, and maintenance systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Soft Skills: Effective communication (verbal and written) Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Work Environment Hands-on role in a manufacturing and machine shop setting Exposure to mechanical systems, heavy equipment, and industrial conditions Requires adherence to safety standards and hazardous material protocols
