This Superintendent role supports a large, multifamily construction program in Baltimore that uses pre-fabricated wall panel construction. The Superintendent oversees multiple ongoing commercial and residential projects, managing scheduling and coordination with subcontractors while ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. The position involves daily use of technology, regular reporting, and interaction with institutional personnel and city officials, offering significant growth potential and performance-based bonus opportunities as part of a cutting-edge program.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple ongoing commercial and residential construction projects within a large multifamily program that uses pre-fabricated wall panel construction.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly update detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion of all phases of work.
• Oversee all daily on-site activities, including monitoring subcontractor actions and ensuring work progresses according to plan.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors to align resources, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and lead all on-site safety initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including adherence to OSHA-related requirements.
• Review, read, and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure construction meets design intent and quality expectations.
• Manage RFIs and submittals to clarify design details, obtain approvals, and keep documentation organized and current.
• Prepare accurate daily reports documenting site activities, progress, issues, and safety observations using technology tools.
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with institutional personnel and city officials to coordinate inspections, approvals, and project requirements.
• Use construction management software to track project progress, documentation, and communication.
• Support a small project team by providing leadership, direction, and clear communication on site.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a construction superintendent managing commercial and residential construction projects.
• Strong experience in subcontractor management, including coordination, oversight, and performance monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to create, maintain, and adjust construction project schedules.
• Hands-on experience overseeing on-site safety programs and conducting regular toolbox talks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications accurately.
• Experience managing RFIs and submittals within a construction project environment.
• Proficiency with construction technology and daily use of digital tools for reporting and communication.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and practices applicable to construction sites.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for working with subcontractors, institutional personnel, and city officials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience using Procore or similar construction management software.
• Familiarity with pre-fabricated wall panel construction methods.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications to ensure projects are completed according to engineering requirements.
• Interest in contributing to an innovative, cutting-edge construction program with significant growth potential.

Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based, working on site as part of a small project team. The Superintendent spends most of the day on active construction sites, overseeing daily activities and coordinating subcontractors. The environment involves regular interaction with institutional personnel and city officials, use of construction technology such as Procore and digital reporting tools, and adherence to established safety protocols. Attire is typical for a professional field construction setting, including appropriate safety gear and site-appropriate clothing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

The pay range for this position is $77.00 - $85.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Baltimore,MD.
