TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Plano, Texas, 75075!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN License Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: All candidates need to be able to work on Mother/Baby as they may be required to float and cover that unit as well. The unit has 21 beds, 4 recovery rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 bed OBED. There are 80 staff members on the unit. During the day shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 10-12 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, and 1 unit secretary. During the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 1 OB tech, and 1 unit secretary/PCT. The patient ratios adhere to AWHONN staffing standards. Equipment used includes GE fetal monitors, Acumen, JADA, and EMR Meditec and CPN. There is no on-call requirement. Floating may occasionally occur to the Mother/Baby unit or assistance with feeder growers in NICU. The typical procedures performed on the unit are labor, delivery, recovery, circulation in OR, and care for high-risk antepartum patients as needed. Nurses will triage and assess pregnant patients at all stages of pregnancy. A team player mentality, flexibility, and a positive attitude are ideal personality traits for candidates. The unit is a Level IV maternity center caring for routine and high-risk obstetric patients. Candidates are required to be available for two weekends in the schedule. Preference-based scheduling is offered. This unit features new equipment and technology, and the staff has a significant tenure and experience. Schedule options are also available for consideration.
