Registered Nurse (RN) – Nurse Educator

Location: New York, NY 10037
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: 3x11.5 Hours | 34.5 Hours/Week
Start Date: 10/05/2026
End Date: 01/09/2027

Pay Rate:
Local: $90–$98/hr
Traveler: $90–$98/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN license — Required
• Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYSED — Required
• ASN/ADN from an accredited nursing program — Required
• MSN – Education (MSN-Ed) degree — Required
• AHA BLS certification — Required
• Minimum 2 years of solid Med/Surg nursing experience — Required
• Strong Med/Surg clinical background
• Demonstrated clinical nursing expertise
• Strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience developing and delivering clinical education and training
• Ability to educate and support nursing staff in an ambulatory care environment

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Nurse Educator supporting ambulatory care services
• Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff
• Provide orientation, training, and ongoing education to nursing personnel
• Assess staff learning needs and develop appropriate educational strategies
• Apply Med/Surg clinical expertise to support evidence-based nursing practices
• Provide clinical guidance and education related to patient care and nursing standards
• Support nursing staff with competency and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
• Evaluate educational programs and provide feedback
• Maintain documentation of education, training, competencies, and staff participation
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
• Support a professional learning environment
