Registered Nurse IRegistered Nurse I (RN I) is a compassionate, licensed professional who delivers safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. Care is provided through the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will coordinate individualized patient education. Guide and supervise ancillary team members. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Consistently uphold professional nursing standards. All practice must align with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, procedures, and current evidence-based guidelines. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Deliver direct patient care across the lifespan while promoting optimal health outcomes. Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families, supporting health literacy and successful transitions of care. Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and ongoing professional development. Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and training. Perform additional duties as assigned to support hospital operations and patient needs. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills are necessary. Ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of all ages is essential. Strong teamwork and adaptability are required in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning is important. Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, infectious diseases, and biohazardous materials is part of the role. Work primarily occurs in a temperature-controlled hospital setting. There may be occasional exposure to varied sounds, odors, and emotionally challenging situations. Physical capability is necessary to lift, position, and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment. Ability to work effectively under stress and respond calmly to emergencies is required. Team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in dynamic clinical situations is essential. Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications are required. OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification must be obtained within 12 months. Experience in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment is essential.
