Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for ICU. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced skills and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate patient care by monitoring vital signs and adjusting treatments accordingly.
Operate and maintain advanced ICU equipment such as GE monitors, drager vents, and Nova glucometers.
Perform procedures including trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion.
Document patient information accurately in Meditech system and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
Provide medication teaching and foster positive patient interactions utilizing AIDET communication and communication boards.

Qualifications:

Possess at least 2 years of ICU RN experience.
Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in ventilator and sedation management, as well as medication titration.
Ability to work rotating shifts including every other weekend.
Maintain licensure and credentials to practice in Tennessee.
