Overview
Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) travel position in Lodi, California, in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,607–$2,809 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 5x8 days.

Responsibilities
- Perform circulating and scrubbing duties in the operating room.
- Verbally confirm the surgical site/side before induction of anesthesia.
- Accurately perform sponge, needle, sharp, and instrument counts according to policy.
- Handle and dissect tissues in collaboration with the surgeon; clamp vessels, coagulate bleeding points, and ligate vessels.
- Suture muscle, fascia, subcutaneous tissue, and skin in collaboration with the surgeon; place drains as indicated.
- Assist with cannulation and decannulation procedures when indicated and assist with transferring the patient as needed.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) — Required
- Completion of an RNFA program that meets AORN standards — Required
- CNOR certification — Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — Required
- CRNFA certification — Preferred
- Two years of perioperative nursing experience — Preferred
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment/Recognition and Status (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification — Preferred
