The task includes leading a small group to design, integrate and deliver equipment for a system-in-lab installation.This opportunity is targeted toward engineers who enjoy working in a systems environment as it includes electrical and mechanical design elements, as well as interacting with mechanical, software, and test team members, developing CCA and system requirements, and supporting system integration and test.What You Will Do:Review system/subsystem level requirements and generate hardware requirementsGenerate detailed circuit board and subsystem level block diagrams and interconnect diagramsManage budgets through Earned Value metricsManage schedule in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)Assign tasking for team membersCommunicate staffing needs to managersCommunicate team status, risks and opportunities, challenges, and mitigation to project leadership teamSupport firmware, software, and systems team members during integration and testSupport production team during fabrication and testing of electronic and mechanical componentsEnsure work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.Prepare documentation including design review slide deck, confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performanceIdentify risks and opportunities as well as mitigations to burn down risksSome domestic travel requiredQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is requiredU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceAbility to lead small teams and report status to managementExperience working with industry standard toolsets for task management (e.g. Microsoft Project)Good communication skills and the ability to tailor to audience at all levelsQualifications We Prefer:Cost Account Management (CAM) experience using Earned Value MetricsPrevious experience in CCA or systems integration designActive DoD security clearanceMicrosoft Project experienceCCA design experience (analog, digital, mixed signal, high-power, or RF)Working knowledge of EMI/EMC standards for military applicationsExperience designing for Military Aircraft applications.Experience using ALM tools including Jira and ConfluenceExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering (e.g. CAMEO)Experience in developing test procedures and test fixturesAbility to read, create and review engineering drawings including schematics, assembly drawings and parts listsExperience with Mentor Graphics tool suiteExperience with design review presentationsKnowledge of the hardware life cycleDo you want to be a part of something bigger?
