Respiratory Therapist (RT), Certified (CRT) or Registered (RRT)We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Certified (CRT) or Registered (RRT), internally referred to as a Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) for our Respiratory Care team. As a CRT/RRT you will work under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager. Someone who carries out respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as directed by the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, based on physician orders. They focus on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care while considering the specific needs of patients based on age and population, in the absence of a supervisor.Bonus: up to $10,000 (optional)Shift's Available: DaysEmployment Type: Full-timeHours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00a to 7:00pLocation: Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, ALResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Will provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easilyConduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patientsSet up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life-supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independentlyMay be part of a rapid response team in emergencies, which you will provide airway management, perform intubations, and resuscitate patients in critical situationsAssess patients' respiratory status, monitor their progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as neededEnsure that all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent infections and ensure patient safetyQualificationsBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
