Unica Enterprises is seeking a self-motivated, skilled, and dependable Custodian/Floor Technician to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for specialized floor care across the assigned facility. You help maintain clean, safe, and high-quality environments by using the right equipment, chemicals, and floor care methods for each job. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, manage changing site needs, and take pride in delivering strong results. 

What Success Looks Like 

A successful Floor Technician: 

• Delivers strong floor care results with minimal rework 
• Chooses the right method for the floor type and condition 
• Handles equipment, chemicals, and materials safely 
• Works independently while staying in communication with the team 
• Helps protect Unica’s quality standards and customer relationships 

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform floor care services such as stripping, waxing, scrubbing, polishing, burnishing, buffing, carpet extraction, bonneting, and stain removal 
• Assess floor condition and choose the right tools, pads, products, and cleaning methods 
• Follow chemical instructions, dilution guidance, and safety requirements 
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report repair or replacement needs 
• Support general cleaning work when needed 
• Set up and break down equipment safely 
• Communicate job progress, delays, or issues to the appropriate lead, supervisor, or manager 
• Help maintain neat, safe work areas during and after service 

Minimum Qualifications 

• 2-4 years of related floor care experience preferred 
• Demonstrated skill in floor scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, and carpet care 
• Knowledge of general cleaning techniques and environmental services procedures 
• Ability to read and follow chemical and equipment instructions 
• Ability to work independently and with a team 
• Effective written and verbal English communication 

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements 

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 
• May be required to wear a uniform and use PPE
