Join us in shaping futures, strengthening our region, and contributing to a mission-driven culture rooted in service and opportunity. 4CNC-TV/CCCC seeks an experienced Video Production Specialist to collaborate with our General Manager and instructional staff to plan and produce a variety of video products for cablecasting, DVD distribution, webcasting, and video streaming. Candidate will have an active role in creating and completing all stages of video productions from shooting through editing, encoding, uploading, and publishing videos.

Essential Duties

Studio Production

• Plan and direct assigned studio productions
• Operate video, audio and lighting equipment, and provide limited troubleshooting of video, audio and lighting equipment
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Make recommendations to department for software and equipment purchases

Field Production

• Work with other staff to coordinate pre-production and production planning activities
• Conduct field-based video production, including interacting with clients and operating all portable video and audio equipment
• Transport and set up lighting and audio equipment as required
• Provide limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment

Post-Production

• Plan and perform post-production tasks, including reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Adobe CS5 software
• Utilize computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts
• Compress video productions for output
• Make video products available in a variety of formats
• Coordinate internal and external duplication services as required

Additional

• Upload to and maintain videos on 4CNC-TV's social media channels
• Participate in implementation of archiving assets to a video library
• Maintain quality and continuity of multiple projects while working against set deadlines
• Help maintain, create and schedule graphics and programming on both 4CNC-TV and Lee Co. Gov. channel.
• Occasionally act as a mentor/teacher to students who are assisting in a given production.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years in video production environment
• Degree in communications, journalism or equivalent experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to work flexible hours depending on shoot schedules and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong digital video & still equipment knowledge and ability to edit using Adobe CS5 software
• Proficient on PC and Mac
• Working knowledge of After Effects, Flash, Photoshop and Adobe tools
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
