Position Summary/Objective The Bank of Orrick is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Universal Banker! The Universal Banker or jack of all trades plays a crucial role in providing banking products and services to our local and national customers. Our UBs perform a variety of tasks associated with processing customer transactions, phone calls and requests. If you are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, detail-oriented, possess good computer skills, this is the job for you. An ideal candidate will have banking experience and is interested in learning additional roles and responsibilities. Essential Functions Provide outstanding customer service, greet each customer as they enter the bank, answer the phone promptly, and take ownership of each interaction Process both simple and complex teller transactions Open depository accounts for customers upon request (online and in person) Assist customers with troubleshooting online account and debit card issues Willing to work Saturday shifts (rotating) Back up on operational tasks Identify needs of prospective and existing customers, propose solutions to help meet those needs, and identify additional opportunities that may help their financial goals Perform operational tasks and assignments Assist with wires and ACH processing Refine processes and procedures for branch operations Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Qualifications 1 to 2 years of banking experience Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer. You must be able to use a computer and other office equipment (e.g., phone, printer). Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through written correspondence.
