This key role is ideal for a professional with demonstrated expertise in interventional radiology procedures, aiming to make a direct clinical impact on patient outcomes. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services in a contract position.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
• Current ARRT registration and state licensure in radiologic technology
• Proven experience as an IR Tech, including proficiency in a variety of interventional radiology procedures
• Strong knowledge of imaging equipment, sterile techniques, and radiation safety protocols
• BLS certification (required)
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Flexibility and reliability to adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment

Schedule:

• 5.25 and 12-hour shifts available (details provided during interview)
• Rotating, weekend, and on-call hours may be required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology examinations
• Operate imaging equipment with expertise and meticulous attention to safety
• Assist physicians with complex interventional procedures, ensuring strict adherence to sterile technique
• Monitor patient status and provide critical information to the healthcare team
• Accurately document procedures, patient data, and equipment usage
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for optimum performance
• Follow established hospital policies, infection control practices, and quality assurance standards
