Details Med/Surg unit within a 22-bed hospital setting General med/surg patient population including renal, transplant, and urology cases Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week Every 3rd weekend required No on-call requirements Required to float across campuses to like units (MWH, ILH, IMMC) 13-week assignment Requirements Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of consideration Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) Minimum 24 months of Med/Surg experience in a hospital/medical center setting required Strong experience in renal and urology required Proficient transplant care experience required Level II trauma experience required Level I trauma experience highly preferred At least one travel contract completed within the previous 15 months required EPIC EMR experience required Driver's license required for consideration Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment Holiday rotation required; must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays including Thanksgiving Navy blue scrubs required Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Candidates who were previously employed by the health system (FTE or PRN) may be restricted from working travel assignments at other facilities within the same market First-time travelers may not be considered, as at least one prior travel contract is required American Traveler Job ID P-769377.
