Registered Nurse Ambulatory - Behavioral Health - Per Diem

Position Summary Schedule is variable for RN coverage - no weekends or holidays. Thursdays are the required in-office day, and potentially coverage needs on Wednesdays depending on need. Hours are 8:30a-5:00p. Responsibilities Delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patients and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice. Participates in staff meetings, special projects, teams, outside courses, cross training and committees. Supports organizational and departmental goals and strategic imperatives. Triages patient phone calls and patient advice requests in EPIC with provider collaboration. Completes utox screens, vital gathering. Faxing lab results, working with pharmacies and community colleagues for continuity of care. Safety planning with patients. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. Experience: Psych experience required. Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License. Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred. Professional Certification: Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice. Software/Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.
