Oracle Database Administrator and Middleware Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Oracle DBA / Middleware Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, performance tuning, and operational support of Oracle databases and Oracle Application Server environments. This role ensures database availability, security, and compliance while supporting production deployments and troubleshooting issues. Responsibilities:

Manage Oracle Database environments.
Monitor database performance and availability.
Perform backup and disaster recovery support.
Install Oracle patches and upgrades.
Support Oracle Application Server configuration.
Troubleshoot database and middleware issues.
Support production deployments.
Ensure database security and compliance.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Oracle Certified Professional preferred.
7+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
Experience with Oracle Application Server and WebLogic.
Strong SQL and performance tuning expertise.
Experience in federal production environments.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Additional Oracle certifications.
Experience with middleware technologies beyond Oracle Application Server.
Knowledge of advanced disaster recovery solutions.

Special Considerations:

Must adhere to strict security and compliance requirements typical of federal environments.
Availability for support during critical production deployments and issue resolution.

Scheduling:

Standard business hours with potential on-call support for emergencies.
