Packaging Associate – 1st Shift

Location: Wadesboro, NC

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Job Type: Full-time

PAY: $16.50/hr

Worksite: Plant 2 Production Facility

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Packaging Associate to support production and packaging operations at a manufacturing facility in Wadesboro.

This is a hands-on industrial position that requires close attention to operating machinery, the ability to understand production equipment settings, and comfort working 12-hour shifts in a hot, cold, and dusty environment. The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or production experience, forklift experience, and a strong record of attendance.

Schedule

The regular first-shift schedule is 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday .

Most Fridays are dedicated to cleanup and equipment maintenance and may be shorter than a full shift. However, employees must be available to work the complete 12-hour shift on Fridays when production goals have not been met.

Candidates must also be flexible to work alternate shifts occasionally when required by production needs.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor packaging and production machinery throughout the shift

• Read and interpret automated HMI screens

• Understand and complete appropriate machine setup adjustments

• Maintain focus on equipment performance, product flow, and production quality

• Measure materials accurately using standard and metric tape measures

• Assist with machinery changeovers

• Use small hand tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, and pry bars

• Complete minor equipment adjustments and repairs when directed

• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products

• Clean production areas using brooms, shovels, and other equipment

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

• Communicate effectively with coworkers, team leads, and management

• Follow specific instructions from supervisors and production leadership

• Comply with all safety procedures, company rules, and attendance requirements

• Perform other production and packaging duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Previous forklift experience

• Ability to read and understand automated HMI screens

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production machinery

• Ability to accurately read both standard and metric tape measures

• Experience using basic hand tools safely

• Strong focus and attention to detail

• Ability to follow specific verbal and written instructions

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Flexibility to work alternate shifts when production needs require it

• Previous manufacturing, packaging, machine-operation, or industrial production experience is preferred

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for up to 12 hours

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

• Ability to work in hot, cold, and dusty conditions

• Ability to perform production cleanup using brooms and shovels

• Ability to safely work around operating machinery and mobile equipment

All employees will receive training on company safety programs, workplace rules, operating procedures, and company culture.

Pay Details: $16.50 per hour
