This is an exciting opportunity to apply your experience in a fast‑paced environment and continue growing your skill What You’ll Do: Anchor newscasts for multiple markets. Write clear, concise news copy. Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire. Post news and video content to newsroom social media platforms. Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations. Produce short‑form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift. May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed. General newsroom responsibilities and other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need: Self‑motivated to find stories as a reporter and also anchor newscasts for multiple markets. Strong social media skills including email, writing/posting for Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram. Must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends. Strong on‑air presence and ability to present newscasts with authority. Excellent writing and editing ability; excellent grammar. Strong time management skills; adept at setting priorities and managing deadlines. Knowledgeable and up to date with local, regional, and national trends. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in media production (primarily audio) and broadcast systems. 3+ years' experience in on‑air journalism in smaller market or college station. 4‑year college degree preferred, Communications or Journalism degree a plus.
