Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules and budgets, ensuring quality standards, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and Buchanan’s quality standards
• Review and manage payment applications, progress reports, punch lists, and daily logs
• Approve subcontractor invoices and track time and material costs
• Maintain accurate and timely customer billing, including schedule of values
• Collaborate with superintendents to monitor progress, productivity, and safety compliance
• Proactively resolve issues related to delays, weather, or unforeseen conditions
• Prepare detailed progress reports and maintain organized project documentation
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and vendors
• Oversee multiple projects while maintaining a high level of organization and communication
• Foster strong relationships with subcontractors and team members to uphold Buchanan’s reputation
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment built on trust, respect, and shared success

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience (commercial preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or related field
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
• A strong sense of accountability, urgency, and pride in your work
